What the song is about

Anselmo Ralph is one of Angola's biggest stars, and “Não Me Toca” (don't touch me) is one of his best-known songs across the Portuguese-speaking world. He's trying to stay strong — he's been hurt before and he's not ready to fall again — but every time she gets close, he's lost. So: please, don't touch me.

The music is kizomba, the slow, sensual dance music that grew up in Angola and is now danced in clubs around the world.

Angolan Portuguese is clear and melodic, closer in pronunciation to Brazil than to Lisbon in some ways, with its own slang. A lovely A2 song for hearing a third great Portuguese accent.
