Ana Vilela was a teenager from Paraná when she posted “Trem-Bala” (bullet train) online in 2016, and within months it was everywhere in Brazil. The song says that life goes by like a bullet train: what matters isn't winning or owning, but hugging your parents, telling people you love them, and noticing the small moments before they're gone.
It became a favourite at graduations, weddings and family videos, and Luan Santana later recorded it with her.
Her voice is soft and the guitar is simple, so every word is clear. The vocabulary is about life and time — to live, to hug, to thank, the time — and the sentences are simple and direct. A lovely A2 song.
