What the song is about

Provenza is a lively neighbourhood of bars and restaurants in El Poblado, Medellín — KAROL G's home city — and the song is set in its nightlife. She hasn't seen an old flame in a while, she's been thinking about him, and she asks, half joking, whether they could meet up again, just for tonight.

Released in 2022 ahead of her album Mañana Será Bonito, the song is soft Afro-beat-flavoured pop rather than hard reggaeton, and its pace is unhurried. That makes it one of the clearest songs in the modern Colombian scene.

It is full of the casual Spanish of a message to an ex: how are you, it's been a while, what are you doing, let's see each other. Listen for the paisa (Medellín) accent, with its soft “s” and singing intonation.
