“Love Scenario” (사랑을 했다, sarangeul haetda — “we loved”) is a break-up song without bitterness. The singer looks back at a relationship that has ended and, instead of blaming anyone, he's grateful: we loved, we made memories, it was beautiful, and now it's time to let go.
It was the biggest song in Korea in 2018, staying at number one for weeks — and it became famous as the song every Korean child knew, sung in kindergartens and school playgrounds across the country.
The Korean is slow, simple and repeated, perfect for A2. The title shows the past tense (했다, “did”) in its most common form, and the vocabulary of memories and farewells is gentle and useful.
