What the song is about

“Dynamite” (2020) was BTS's first song entirely in English, released in the summer of the pandemic to lift people's spirits. It's a bright disco-pop song about shining, dancing and feeling good — light up the night like dynamite.

It became the first song by a Korean act to reach number one on the US Billboard Hot 100, and earned BTS their first Grammy nomination.

Since the lyrics are English, use it as a doorway into the K-pop world rather than the Korean language: the words below are the fan vocabulary you'll meet everywhere once you follow BTS — and the Korean that ARMY (their fans) use every day.
