What the song is about

“Eleven” (2021) was IVE's debut single. The singer has fallen for someone and every feeling is turned up past its limit — her heart races, she can't sleep, she sees them everywhere. It's the dizzy excitement of a first crush, sung with confidence.

The song topped Korean charts and won several music-show awards within weeks, an unusually fast start that made IVE one of the most talked-about new groups.

Its Korean is all about the body's reaction to love: 심장 (heart), 두근두근 (the thump-thump of a heartbeat), 설레다 (to flutter). Korean is full of sound words like 두근두근, and songs are the best way to learn them.
