What the song is about

“Mania de Você” (I'm crazy about you, literally “a mania for you”) is a 1979 love song by Rita Lee, the queen of Brazilian rock, written with her husband Roberto de Carvalho. It's playful and sensual: being near the person she loves makes her mouth water, and she can't get enough of them.

Rita Lee, from São Paulo, started in the psychedelic band Os Mutantes and became one of the best-selling women in Brazilian music. This is one of her most covered songs.

It's slow and clearly sung, and full of affectionate expressions you'll hear between couples: meu bem (my darling), água na boca (mouth-watering). A sweet A2 song.
