“Sarà perché ti amo” (maybe it's because I love you) is a happy jumble. The singers feel dizzy and silly: everything seems confused, the world is spinning, they can't think straight — and the only explanation is love. It's one of the most cheerful songs in Italian pop.
Ricchi e Poveri (rich and poor), a group from Genoa, released it in 1981 after singing it at the Sanremo Festival. It became a European hit and, decades later, a party and stadium favourite all over again.
The chorus teaches a lovely grammar point: “sarà perché…”, the future used to guess (it must be because…). The rest is simple, happy vocabulary sung at a bouncing pace.
