What the song is about

In “Tous les mêmes” (all the same), a woman lists her complaints about men: they're all the same, they forget dates, they're never there, they only think of one thing. Then the man answers — and the song shows how both sides repeat the same clichés.

In the video Stromae plays both roles at once, half his face and body dressed as a woman, half as a man. It's from Racine carrée (2013), his album that turned catchy dance music into social commentary.

The French is clear and conversational, full of the everyday vocabulary of relationships — men, women, the date, to complain — and the chorus repeats “rendez-vous”, the French word English borrowed.
