“La Gozadera” (the big party) is a 2015 celebration of Latin American unity by the Cuban duo Gente de Zona with Marc Anthony. The idea: there's a party, and everyone's invited — Cuba and Puerto Rico, Colombia and Venezuela, Mexico, Peru, the Dominican Republic and more. Each verse greets another country.
It mixes Cuban son and timba with reggaeton, and its video became one of the most-watched Latin videos of the time. It's still played at parties wherever Latin Americans gather.
“Gozar” means to enjoy, to have a great time, and “la gozadera” is the party where it happens. The country names, the greetings and the dance vocabulary make it a fun, easy song to start with.
