What the song is about

“Entre Dos Tierras” (between two lands) is the defining song of Héroes del Silencio, the rock band from Zaragoza fronted by Enrique Bunbury. It's addressed to someone who can't decide, who hovers between two places and two choices and, in doing so, suffocates the people around them. The singer has had enough.

Released in 1990 on Senderos de Traición, it became one of the biggest Spanish rock songs of all time, loved in Spain, Latin America and even Germany, where the band was hugely popular.

Bunbury's voice is dramatic but clear, and the lyrics are built on strong images — air, earth, selling yourself, tearing apart. A good B1 song for rock fans, with vocabulary that's poetic but common.
