Terms of Use
Last updated October 3, 2026
Welcome to Solang. By using the app or website you agree to these terms. They are written to be readable — if something is unclear, write to hello@solang.app.
The service
Solang shows song lyrics with translations, word meanings, slang and grammar explanations to help you learn languages. Solang is new and still growing: features may change, break or be removed, and it is provided “as is” without warranties.
Who can use Solang
Solang is for people aged 13 and over. If you are under 13, please don’t use Solang.
If you are 13 to 17, Solang turns on clean mode for you: songs marked explicit are hidden and the AI tutor keeps its explanations age-appropriate. Where the law where you live requires a parent’s or guardian’s consent for you to use an app like Solang, you need their permission first.
Songs marked explicit (by Apple Music) show an “E” and a short content note. Adults can hide them too in Settings → Hide explicit songs.
Your account
You need a valid email address to create an account. Keep access to your email secure — anyone with it can sign in. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
Lyrics and music
Lyrics are licensed from their owners through our lyrics provider and are shown for your personal, non-commercial learning only. Don’t copy, republish or scrape them. Music plays through third-party services (such as YouTube) under their own terms; Solang does not host or distribute music.
When you share a line as an image, share it for personal, non-commercial purposes and keep the song credit.
AI-generated content
Translations, glosses, slang notes and grammar explanations are generated with AI (Claude by Anthropic) and can contain mistakes. Please use “Report a mistake” when you spot one. Don’t rely on them where accuracy is critical.
Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer it, no automated access or bulk requests to our APIs, and no use that violates the law or others’ rights. We may suspend accounts that do.
Paid plans
Solang is currently free. If we introduce paid plans, prices and terms will be shown clearly before you pay, and nothing will be charged without your consent.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Solang is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for losses arising from the use of the service, third-party services or AI-generated content.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. We will update the date above and, for meaningful changes, notify signed-in users. Continuing to use Solang means you accept the updated terms.
